The Boob Tube - not just tv anymore

I was so pleased to get to try out some of Mama Mio's amazing products! Mama Mio's products have one countless awards and are raved about in so many magazines. The Boob Tube is a favorite to celeb mommy Victoria Beckham and model mommy Christy Turlington is a fan of their pregnancy products. Expectant Mommy's deserve a little pampering and I was thrilled to get to use a product the celebrity's have used! Who doesn't like to feel a little famous?

Mama Mio's products did not disappoint. I tried out the Boob Tube and the Tummy Rub Stretch Mark Oil. The Boob Tube is a product whose motto is "aim north, not south". Let's be honest, after having a child our breasts are not in the same perky place they once were. Boob Tube aims to help us with the pesky gravity problem that is suddenly plaguing our breasts. It is also has a great cooling sensation on your itchy stretching skin.

Boob Tube is made with avocado oils, shea butter and CoQ10. It smells great and is made with ingredients that are safe and healthy for the soon-to-be-mommy. When it is first applied you can tell how strong the oil is because it doesn't sink in instantly. I like the idea that the oil is staying strong and protecting my skin! Using the oil will help you prevent those pesky stretch marks from appearing. It must work pretty well because it was winner of Pregnancy & Birth's Best Pampering Product Award!

Who dosen't like a bag of books?

The Gifted Grasshopper makes these adorable bags filled with books that are the perfect gift for any occasion. You go to the website and pick the age of the child you are sending the bag and then you select a category you think they would be interested in. The Gifted Grasshopper takes care of the rest. They have packages for as low as $19.99 and you can choose how many books you want in the bag. I adored the cute glasses and stuffed grasshopper that came in the little tote bag.

I love the idea of sending one of these bags to a new sibling or for a birthday. They feel so special and customised . My son was so excited when he saw the box on our front stoop. He was thrilled with the book they had chosen for him. It has trains in it making it his new favorite book. After he opened the bag he instantly sat down with his stuffed grasshopper in his arms to read him the new book. It is a really cute gift!

Polliwalks - Shoes are fun again!

When I saw these shoes all I could think was "my son would love those" and he does. He loves them so much in fact that he will not take them off. He literally eats, sleeps and showers in them. He seems to be confused about whether or not they are toys or shoes. The confusion makes sense when you know that Polliwalks were created by a toy designer.

Not only are these adorable shoes cute to wear but they also leave behind animal footprints when you walk through dirt and water. The footprinter sole adds to the fun of these unique shoes! They are available in frogs, ducks, ladybugs, and gators.

My little boy is going through the "me do it" phase and Polliwalks are quick and easy for him to put on himself. This is saving me time and countless arguments about putting on his shoes. We might actually be on time again. I'm so excited to have found shoes that are full of imagination. There is so little time in our lives where we can wear animals on our feet without facing concerned stares. Its about time there was a fun option for kids other than rainboots!

Week 19 - A shirt that makes me smile!

Since becoming pregnant with my second child I have been on a mission to find great maternity clothing. I spent the majority of my first pregnancy in gauchos and men's beater tanks. I refuse to look like that again. I love the shirts from Belly 9. Their shirts will grow with you. They fit you from the start of your pregnancy until you deliver. I was lucky enough to get to try out a thermal "counting down the days" tee. Although I'm 19 weeks pregnant, I still don't look that pregnant yet and this shirt fits me perfect. Trust me on this - this shirt will stretch more than far enough when needed and it still looks just as cute.

Belly 9 was created by two friends who were searching for cute, comfy maternity tops. In my opinion they have suceeded! Their tops are very funny and I can vouch for the comfort. Visit their page to see more witty designs. The "fertile myrtlye" tee is another one of my favorites.

A creative end to the animal madness

Obviously, I am a fan of all things Boon. I just love design of all of their products and how incredibly useful they are. My favorite by far though is the Animal Sack. I had stuffed animals all over my house. It was driving me crazy. The idea to put them inside something that then becomes a fun place to sit was ingenious!

I am beyond impressed with how well this animal sack was made. The fabric is insanely soft and I love that they made the different zippered windows out of a tight mesh. I thought it would be plastic and I was so pleased to see that they'd used a breathable alternative. It's a good thing to because the first thing my son did with it was get inside the animal bag.

I was looking at the product from merely a storage viewpoint but my son thought it was the coolest thing. He sees it as a toy. It's like playing hide and go seek with his animals. The best thing about it - my son can actually fill it up and zip it up himself. He also thinks doing so is fun and not a chore! Lucky me!

Don't let the size fool you. I was amazed at how much the animal sack actually holds. We managed to fit all of our stuffed animals into it. I think we could fit a few more and the more in it, the more comfy it gets. I was considering buying a normal beanbag for my son and I'm so glad to have found this alternative. Besides the storage aspect it looks really cute and has become my little boy's favorite reading spot.

Bathtub protection with style!

I was first attracted to the Boon Flo because of the design. It isn't a big rubbery duck or elephant that I have to put over my faucet. It looks sleek and it's a design I wouldn't be embarrassed to leave in a bathroom that doubles as a guest bath. Actually, my son better look out because I might steal it for my tub. Where it seems like a good time to him, it reminds me of a peaceful waterfall or spa experience.

The Flo is about more than just looks though. It provides a protective cover for your faucet to help prevent your kids from bumping their heads on the hard metal surface of the faucet. It also can be used for a bubble bath dispenser. You first fill it up and then you press the button on the front the release the bubbles. This feature was great for me because it gave you more control over the amount of bubbles in your tub. Instead of tossing in a cup full and hoping for the best, you can watch to see how many you have and add more as needed. It was so simple to operate, my two year old had no problem releasing the bubbles.

Putting the Flo on is a breeze. It takes about a second and it's easy to move from one bathroom to another. It also made it easier to rinse my sons hair and he seemed to be easier going about the process. He loved playing in the water with his toys. I guess the wider stream of water makes it more exciting for him. Who knows? Toddlers minds work in odd ways.

I think it's easier to see the relaxing quality in the video. It makes me want to take a bubble bath.

Is your baby a rock star?

If you are like me and struggle to find hip clothing for your child, you should definitely check out Baby Rock Apparel. I love their selection of tees and hoodies from sizes 3-6 months to 8T. My little rock star was lucky enough to get to model two of their shirts. He tried out the blue one above, it says "Honor thy mother". I love this tee! The material is so soft and it reminds me of the high end designer tees his daddy always wants. I do wish he understood when wearing this tee he must do as it says though.

I don't want to have to wear something just because I'm pregnant - I want to actually like the clothing. Surviving Labor & Delivery

Ms. & Mrs. has a great new kit for surviving labor and delivery. I'm not sure if it actually makes labor any easier but it certainly would have been nice to have some of these items when I had my son. We all remember to pack a bag with a change of clothing but we frequently forget the little things. This kit is so nice because it's all packaged up and ready to go. It takes the work out of planning - the should I take that, will I need that? I would recommend this as a great gift for a new mom to be from anyone. Wouldn't it be sweet coming from the daddy though? I'm pretty sure it would be a hit at a baby shower as well. Here are a few of the great things that come in this handy kit:

Lip Balm - lord knows I could have used that, my mouth was so dry
Bubblegum cigars
slipper socks - really nice if you forgot to get that pedicure before putting your feet in stirrups
Breath mints - I bet that everyone who came to see me wishes I'd had these

The kit includes 12 childbirth essentials, so those just happen to be some of my favs. For only $45 it seems easier to me to get it all nice and together than to try to assemble these items on your own. Now if only they had an survival kit for toddlers...

Hump Day Win It - Intelligender...too good to be true?

Yes, that is urine. I am not a patient person so I must know the sex of my child as soon as conceived (if possible). That's why intelligender appealed to me. They claim that the test is 90% accurate and that you can take it as early as 8 weeks pregnant. I bought this test and I took it at 9 weeks just to be safe. It of course turned to the boy color - I think I will have all boys. I am having the sex confirmed by a doctor on April 15 - so...... - check back to see if the test was right!

In the meantime leave me some comments if you have tried this test or if you want to try this test. If the doctor confirms that I'm having a boy then I will buy one lucky commenter their own test!!!
