Spinlash

You might remember Mom's Beauty Find from last week - the Spinlash! If you have been waiting for your opportunity to get one....here is your chance!! This week Spinlash is kindly giving away 3 Spinlash's to my readers!!

Missed the review of Spinlash and are feeling curious? Click here to read more about it and to know why you want your own!! The contest ends July 1st at midnight EST and you can double your winning chances by becoming a subscriber. Already a subscriber? Just remind me in your comment and I will put your name in twice too.

How do you win? Comment on this post with a personal victory that you achieved recently. I'm not talking about winning a marathon or anything. I'm talking about how you managed to get a week's worth of groceries purchased in under an hour with 3 kids in tow. Or how you actually took a shower every other day this week. Tell me how when you discovered your toddler finger painting the wall you didn't use a "no-no" word and convinced you should be proud of his creativity. I love hearing stories from other parents and we will be picking our very favorite as one of our winners. The other winners will be selected just like always with a random drawing - don't worry, subscribing still gets your name entered twice.Winners have 72 hours to respond before forfeiting their prize and a replacement winner is chosen.

Good luck! I can't wait to hear all of your stories!!

My recent accomplishment is earning a GPA of 3.333. I am 34 and had been out of school for sometime, but have recently started attending school in the last year and a half. For being out of school, I didn't expect to be doing so well. I can definitely say that I'm fond of myself for this.

I recently got dozens and dozens (probably 8 to 10 dozen) of muffins baked and frozen, 4 meals of barbecue beef cooked, divided and put in the freezer, and four dozen cookies baked, all before the weather got really hot, so that we can enjoy baked goods throughout the summer without putting the oven on.

Ahh.. it feels good to get it done. We moved in one year ago and concentrated for the entire year on remodeling and decorating indoors. The past week, we FINALLY got outside and pulled weeds, landscaped and started garden. This is indeed, a victory garden!
Thanks for the giveaway! A girl needs fluttery eyes!

This week, I learned to "let gooooo." I swapped perfectly made beds for an extra hour and a half at our local park with my kids. Now, my 3 and 4 year old make their beds without my help (well, the blankets are at least pulled up) and they dress themselves in an outfit from two selections that we pull out the night before. By 10:00, we're all dressed (yes, me too) and out the door. They get extra play time and I bring a book. Here's the added bonus.... I even read a page or two!

I finally was able to get the garage painted and clean up the yard, we work fulltime and run a business, plus family (so its more than fulltime!) so this was quite the accomplishment for me!

I made a half an hour drive on the freeway with my son in the back. This may not sound scary to some, but I hate driving! :)

My small victory was getting myself to the doctor to get a strep throat test. If one of the kids is sick I'm at the doctor's office with them straight away if not the E.R. but you know the whole mom thing - don't take the time to care for yourself. Lame but that is my victory today! And yes I have strep throat so don't lick this message.

Today I spent two hours making veggie purees for recipes. I am so not domesticated but love the idea of sneaking veggies into dinners. Sooo...I finally did it! Now I just have to actually make something with all of the purees I have. Ha!

That thing is crazy looking! My recent accomplishment, I pretty much moved the whole house (insides!) by myself while shuttling to kids back and forth with me! We just finished our house and we were living a few houses down so its not a far move, but it is a lot of stuff!

This week and moved the Pack & Play from the basement to the guest room at 3 in the morning. Our baby's room smelled like varnish from her new bookshelf my husband built.

Im living each day to its fullest. My personal victory is compliments of my husband who just got diagnosed with stage one melanoma (at 28 years old). His diagnosis and those from other affected with cancer teach us that there is no guarantee for tomorrow. We have to live each and every day as if there is no tomorrow. I hope I can instill that way of thinking on our 8 month old little girl.

My son's class was having an International theme party for the end of the year class event and we were asked to make a food or beverage from a country that is part of our heritage to share with the class and the families. I made the attempt to make Scones to represent my family that comes from Wales.

You have to know that I cannot bake to save my life - and that is an understatement! I ruin those pre-made cookies that you just break off the chunk and bake. So imagine my surprise when I made three dozen Scones without burning them AND I made them right and they actually tasted pretty good.

I think my proudest moment came when we were cleaning up from the party and there were only four Scones left out of the 36 I made, which would lead me to believe that people liked them! YIPPEEEEE!!!!!

I know it sounds silly. Baking is not my thing. I can't even frost a cake. So to make these Scones was a huge deal for me.

I've been working on my 17-month-old's 'sleep issues' and Monday was the first time she went to sleep without laying in the bed beside me - yippee! I still had to sit on the floor beside the crib, holding her hand until she fell asleep, but baby steps, right?!

I guess my recent accomplishment is just watching my toddler daughter all week with my husband out of town without going crazy all the while shuttling her back and forth, keeping up with errands, etc. Great giveaway, thanks!

Personal victory for this week is my son Gabriel grasping the concept of "cleaning" up his toys. We did this every day for about a month , I'd pick up toys put them in his toy bucket and then hand him one and he'd do the same, well today he was actually doing it all by himself, I've never been soo proud, he also just turned 16 months old!

My personal victory was surviving with a 2 year old. We have almost made it to 3. He is definitely the best thing that could have ever happened in our lives, so I wouldn't change it for the world!!

Well, I am somehow surviving working full time, with a son getting married on July 19, a daughter that has college orientation (with her parents of course) 5 hours away on July 17, rehearsal supper to plan, showers for the future bride and we just had two graduations - son from college and daughter from high school. They were both on the same day and same time 3 hours away from each other. My son graciously gave up his graduation ceremony to come to his sister's graduation since she was giving a valedictorian speech. It has been and still is hectic even when the 3 kids are nearly grown adults!

I have managed to work 16 hours already this week (3 days) which with my lupus, is more than I have worked in a whole week in 9 months. This is a huge accomplishment but I am exhausted :)

I really would love to see how that spin lash works. I just don't want to pay that much for a drug store brand, you know?

Hi
A personal achievement of mine: 40 friends and relatives got together at the beach today. Lots of mothers, grandmothers, and kids, kids, kids. One of the kids wandered away. We had the whole beach looking for him. He had followed another mother and child(not one of our friends). The mother turned him over to a life guard. So we all cried and celebrated. My personal victory - not swearing like a mad woman in front of all the kids - where the @$#% is he, What the $#%@. Oh my god, what if a crazy $%#$ing person took him. Also not panicing -so all the kids would see all of us women going bonkers.

my accomplishments are very simple, and the most satisfying. I get up at 6am with my 6 month old, and from that moment on I am busy between him and his 2 year old brother, while being pregnant with my 3rd. My children smile from morning to night, my house is presentable (although to make truely happy children, its never spotless throughout the week) and at nighttime I get the best hugs and kisses. I may be a stay at home mom, I may not run marathons or do anything spectacular, but I make my children laugh, and thats good enough for me! :)
I am also a subscriber to the mail list, come the weekend I get excited to open up my email and get a heads up on whats coming next week! :)
Thanks for the contest

After months of agony and frustration from potty training, my son has become a MAN! Well, a short, little man.lol You don't know how many accidents he has had all over this house, you can now say he is accident free. It feels great and I know he feels really good about himself. Thanks for the giveaway.

My greatest accomplishment this week?.... Hrm... Good question, I will have to say I cooked every night this week, despite the heat, etc.

That is huge for me since alot of the time I just say "Fend for yourself", luckily most of my children are teenagers and can, but I like cooking for them, it makes me feel like a good Mama :)

OK, my biggest parenting accomplishment was the creation of a "Groundation chart" for my 12 year old son. He has become quite the smart mouth, and had gotten grounded. My husband and I began arguing, we couldn't remember did we tell him no video games? or "Wait, we didn't say wether or not he could go outside" etc. So, we created a poster with 3 levels of "grounation". Each level represents different things he loses. So now if he's being extra bad all I have to say is "Hey, do you want a day of red?" No more confusion, it's clear in his mind what is at stake, my husband and I know what the deal is and we're all happy!! And since making the chart last weekend, no grounding!!!

Well I just had and ultrasound the other day and everything was fine with the baby except her size was really small. So I have to have another ultrasound soon. I think one thing I accomplished was to relax and try not to let the stress of it change my mood for my other 4 kids. They need me to be strong and I am doing my best not to worry too much. Because I know a lot of praying and faith will help us.

I'm so proud of myself because recently I caught my 4 yr. old daughter brushing the cat's teeth with my toothbrush and I didn't scream, curse under my breath or blow a fuse! I simply explained that "Huey" didn't need his teeth brushed with our brushes.Thankfully, she didn't use toothpaste.Huey was not harmed.
