Thoughts from a 5 year old: He really was intrigued by this tale and it aroused a great deal of questions for him. He started to think about how his day would go if he was stuck upside down. His favorite part was when Mott basically fell off the Earth. He will listen to it repeatedly and has requested some 3D glasses to try out with it in the future. He also thought it was really cool to turn the story upside down and see it from a new perspective.
Thoughts from a 2 year old: He liked the story and had a great time touching (tickling) Mott to hear him make various sounds and say words. He would just keep tapping Mott over and over again.
Mom's Take: Although I absolutely love to hold a nice hardbound book in my hand it's great apps like these that make it hard to resist the lure of digital books. This fun story includes great illustrations, a full-time (not mom required) narrator, and give your child the experience of watching the book come to life. The crazy part to me is that they cost far less than a hardback in your local bookstore and as far as storage goes it can't be beat. I thought the story was very cute and super clever. My children both found it fascinating and thought inducing. I have even caught them pretending they are stuck upside down for the day.
Simply Stated: It's an adorable story and a great addition to your reading library. Kids will love seeing what happens when they wake on the wrong side of the bed.
