Baby's 1st Album

I am so loving this smart new idea that combines photos & baby's books! I don't know if it is just my children but they love to look at pictures of themselves and their family. While I would love to entrust my 3 year old with my photo album - I have learned that is a big "no-no" the hard way. Not only did Connor mange to color sharpie all over the album pages itself but he also removed and destroyed many of the photos. Board Book Albums solves this problem with their patented "Take your pix" album. It is perfect for your little ones because it is made to look just like a child's board book. The chunky pages are easy for little hands to turn and it has notches on the side to make page turning even easier.
These adorable books allow you to make a sweet book for your child and it will hold 20 photos. The books are designed to allow you to be creative. I think that it would be really fun to write a story and use personal photos to illustrate it. You could also make your own photo mad libs or use it as a blank scrapbooking canvas. Another great option is to allow your child to use their creativity and personalize/decorate the album themselves. Connor picked out the photos he wanted on my computer. We then had them printed at a local drugstore and he also got to pick out some stickers. He then colored and placed stickers all over his Take Your Pix Album. This is now one of his favorite things to take to show and tell. He also loves reading (making up a story about the pictures) his book to his little brother. I am no longer worried about ruined photos or torn pages and when Connor gets bored we can easily swap out the photos. These super cute albums are available in pink, yellow, blue, or white and will only set you back $20.

I am excited to have the opportunity to give 3 of my readers the chance to WIN their own Take Your Pix Album (and they get to chose the color too)!! To enter to win take a moment and visit Board Book Albums and then comment back with the answer to this question: How would you decorate, personalize, and use this album? Be creative! The deadline to enter is January 31st at midnight EST. You can DOUBLE your winning chances by subscribing to Now What Baby.

I would use the album for putting favorite family and baby pictures in. I like the idea that you can write your own little quips on the frames of the pages. Id like to use some scrapbooking embellishments to give each page their own personal look
Thank you!

I would take pics of family/friends that are important in my son's life and have each of them write a short message to him. I would then give it to him for his first birthday--it would be a great memory book to look back on when he is older

This is PERFECT!!! My 17 month old is ALWAYS taking my picture frames down and telling me who they are! Now maybe he'll use this instead of possibly breaking my picture frames! I would want the blue one and would put different family pictures in it! He LOVES pointing out his grandparents and mommy and daddy to me! I would also put two of my aunts in there that don't live as close so that maybe he recognizes them more when he sees them!

Thanks for the chance!

I LOVE these photo albums. Mine would be made up of milestones of my grandchildren, with pictures that my son and DIL would send me or ones that I took. When it was full, I'd just have to buy more to continue and then eventually, they would get these great records of their lives!

Thanks for another great giveaway!

I have always loved photo albums for babies, but this one is so much more durable! I would love to have pictures of all of the children in our family for baby to look at! I would love to decorate with my embosser!

Wow, this is such a great idea. I have been wanting something like this for our one year old and this may be just the thing. I would put in pictures of our far-flung friends and family (grandparents, aunts and uncles, godparents) so when we visit, he'll have easier recognition. Thanks!

We live far away from all of our family. I would take photos of our close family. That way we can go through the book all the time and when we see our family, our child will recognize their faces.

I think it would be fun to have a themed book of some sort, like include pictures starting with each letter of the alphabet (of course with only 20 photo spaces, you'd have to be creative with combining a few letters since you've got 6 more letters than spaces.)

This would make a great memory photo album of my beloved first granddaughter who only had a chance of 4 too short years. This would be a great way for all the grandkids to remember her without ever knowing her. They are always looking through her photo album and this they can help decorate and make it theirs to share. Thank you so much!

I would love to use this album to put family memebrs and their names in it. We have alot of distant relatives and I think this would ease the uncomfortablness of the kids having "stranger" anxiety with relatives who know them that they don't recognize and wnat to hug and kiss.

I would use the book for my upcoming baby as it sure beats the laminated photos I put on a keychain for my 2 year old! I think I would let my 2 year old choose the photos and decorate it for his baby sister though so that he felt a part of it.

I would put photos of our (large) family in it to help my daughter learn their names. She has adult siblings and older nephews that though she knows them, at times gets their names mixed up, also when she learns a name she likes to call everyone by that name. So I would use it as a teaching tool, and I would label the pictures and maybe put little stickers or small drawings of things associated with that person. Then you could also use it to expand their vocabulary too.

I would choose the pink color, and use photos of the baby from newborn through the first year, and family photos as well, because babies love looking at photos of their family! I would add some color with acid-free markers, as well, but this would definitely be a way to teach baby the names of out-of-state family members....we would love it!

Thanks for the opportunity to win!

I am a new subscriber to your blog. This is such a cool idea! The pink book is particularly cute!

All of my husband's family lives in a different state and the girls only get to see them maybe once a year. I would dedicate 5 photos to my DH's parents and grandma who live in FL. I would decorate these pages with Palm Trees, gators and oranges for FL. I would dedicate another 5 to DH's sister and family. They live in MN so these pages would be decorated with snow, ice hockey and lakes. A few photos would be dedicated to my folks who live in town and our family. These pages would be decorated with hearts and kisses. Finally I would save the last few pages for the girls together. These pages would be decorated with rainbows and ribbons and sugar drops as the girls are very sweet. Phew! Much longer than I anticipated!

I can think of numerous ways to use these darling albums! I'll share a couple of them. First, I would make a "baby's day" album with all the events of the day. I would also add text describing what is happening in the photo. For example: Heather is taking a bath. Heather is getting dressed.
A second album would feature the important people in baby's life. Each person would ahve a page with their picture and a caption: Caddy, Mommy, Grandad, Grandmother, Brothers, and Sisters, etc.
