You probably remember last Tuesday's Sanity Saver when I wrote about the MyPlate-Mate. At the time my camera was experiencing technical difficulties and I was unable to put up the video. Today I have the video up and a chance for you to win a MyPlate-Mate in your choice of color (white, pink, or blue)!! Read the review and watch the video and then make sure you enter to win!!
The MyPlate-Mate is a lifesaver for parents with kids who are independent. Actually, it's a must have for any parent who wants to be able to eat their dinner at the same time their child eats. I'm sure you are looking at the picture above going....hmmm...what is the world is that? It's the MyPlate-Mate and it has made dinner time a breeze. You simply place a plate inside the ring shape, it has a ridged area to put your plate into and it will keep it in place. The point of this contraption is that your child has an easy wall to press her food up against as she struggles to get it on her utensil. It is quick to put on, easy to take off, and fast to clean!
Here are some reasons why you should definitely try the MyPlate-Mate on your munchkin's plate. It is perfect to keep in your purse or diaper bag. I feel pretty silly bringing a special plate to put my child's meal on in a restaurant but I didn't feel weird about putting the MyPlate-Mate around the plate they served his meal on. The result was a dining out experience without food falling off the sides of his plate and a meal that he could actually feed to himself. For once, the whole family was finished eating at the same time. Another reason to try it out - it is so affordable at only $7.95. You can get two and not feel guilty. You really don't need to buy very many. I suggest one for home and one in the diaper bag for going out. You could also leave one at grandma's house!
To enter to win your own MyPlate-Mate visit their site and then comment back on this post about what you think the greatest benefit of having a MyPlate-Mate would be or why you want to win one. The deadline to enter is Sunday July 20 at midnight EST. Winners have 72 hours to respond before their prize is forfeited and a replacement winner is selected. Also you can double your winning chances by subscribing to our weekly email. If you are already a subscriber - remind me in your comment and I will put your name in an extra time. Good Luck!!

These are great because they are sooo versitile. When my best friend son gets old enough to spend the evenings with me, I can use this with him. When we all go out to eat together, I can get two of them and the kids and use them, and eat together. It's a really nice item.
Oh my goodness!!!! What a fantastic idea. Why didn't anyone think of this sooner. Awesome!!!!!

My son turns 2 next month and he could really use this to help him out. He's pretty good with a fork but has a lot of trouble getting stuff that requires a spoon. This would be perfect! I love the fact that it helps your child successfully learn to use a utensil.
This would be great not only for the little ones, but for grandparents who have had strokes. That kind of general applicability is important to me!
What a great idea. I think the biggest benefit would be that it helps increase childs independence and confidence at meals. It helps out mom and dad by curbing messes.
i NEED THIS TO STOP SOME OF THE MESS.
I think the greatest benefit of having a MyPlate-Mate would be so that I could enjoy my dinner!!!

I think the best benefit is helping my daughter's developmental growth and making her feel more mature.
This would be oh so helpful to keep all the child sized pieces ON the plate/fork/tray/etc :)

My wife sure would be happy if I won this.
This would be so helpful and ease frustrations for my little one!
I think this would really help my little one figure out how to use the fork/spoon. She usually ends up eating with her hands after a few attempts!
How clever~
I love this product because it helps cut down on messes but more importantly, helps kids develop independence and that sense that their "big kids" and not babies.

My friend who has paralysis and no grip in his hands uses one of these, I never thought about them for kids! Great idea!
Seems like it helps kids actually get food on their utensil, so they won't get as frustrated.
anything that will help the little one learn how to use silverware is great. After all you want them to at least know how to use a knife and fork by 25
it would lessen the amount of food i have to pick up off teh floor
I love that it is easy to travel with! It can go to grandmas with us!
I always hate being the "people" who leave a total mess behind at a restaurant. This would be great at helping keep at least his plate on the table!! Would so love this!

My little grandson tries really hard to get all of his food on his plate and not get any on the table. I think he would really like the help that "MyPlate-Mate" would provide.
These would be great for getting my child to get more food into his mouth than on the floor!
I would love to win of these to keep my messy eaters food on the plate. I am also a subscriber. Great giveaway, thanks!
My daughter is having a hard time learning her utensils. This would be such a great confidence booster to encourage her to keep at it. Thanks!
This is a great invention. It would help the children learn to use utensil and lessen the mess for mom to clean. Great idea!!
Im a neat freak so this would really help me out, lol :)

Because I believe this would help with my son and losing things on his plate when he slightly picks up his plate, this would hopefully eliminate food sliding off!

Less food to pick up off the floor would be great.
I love the plate mate. I want one in pink. I think this plate is great because it will help my grand daughter learn to use a utensil and increase her confidence and independence at meal time.

Wow the way my children eat this would be a godsend!
This is exactly what I've been looking for! I like the fact that you can take it off/put it on any child size plate. So I don't need 50 millioin special rimmed plates that I have to take apart. I can get away with just one of the rims!
Wow this would be great. More food is usually on the table than still on my daughters plate!
I am lovin' the Spinbrush Mascara! Thanks again for the great giveaway!
I really like that it will help my kids have more confidence when they are learning to eat! Anything that can help my kids learn and grow in a positive way is a plus for me!
Thanks!

This is a fantastic item and I would bring this along anywhere when we go out to eat. I think anyone with kids would love this and grandmothers too.
I want one for the baby shower I'm attending soon. What a unique gift!
This is such a great idea. I take my daughter out to dinner with me several times a week and this would make my life so much easier.
what a great idea! we're coming to that stage now and thsi would be perfect :) Great giveaway! Thanks!

With little kids I want them to learn how to do things themselves.
Its sometimes a struggle trying to eat with the plate sliding and trying to handle the fork or spoon.
This would save the stress of the plate sliding the child getting angry because the plate is moving and everyone in the end is happy and meal time is a pleasure instead of a aweful daily struggle.
Thank you for the chance to win a great invention for my little ones.
I would like to give this to my daughter so she gets a little less stressed by my granddaughter's messes. She is not as amused as I am. ;)
What a great invention! Just one less mess for me to clean up! I love it! Thanks for the opportunity! ~ countrygirl1823@aol.com
these are so great. less time cleaning up and more time with family.

This is a great lil invention! Less messes sound perfect! I'm a Subscriber!
That it helps give a fence to the food. We've all watched them push their food to the edge, and over.
I think this gives the little learner a greater chance of success because of that high rim. Love the idea.

Would love to win this - thanks!!!
cdrury@gmail.com
think it would be useful for travel and for eating out!
To help prevent a big clean up later!
I think this is such a great idea!
I'd love to not having to pick the food off the floor so much (or that the doggy wouldn't be able to stuff her face on whatever fell, lol)

This is such a great idea. I can really see the benefit of not having to clean up after a toddler learning how to eat. My 2 year old has difficulty spooning things off a plate and knocks it all over the table sometimes. I'd love to have one of these to help her until she masters the art of eating.
what a great idea!why i didnt think of it with 2 small ones,love it~~ ahdrad2932@msn.com
I dont' know why I never think of these neat gadgets! This is a great idea! PJeans63@yahoo.com
Good gosh almighty, the Plate-Mate is going to cut back on what goes straight from the plate to the floor! This may very well save my two dogs from becoming completely obese! I love it, plus my almost two year old will get so much more into her mouth.
I would love to have this because I think it would really help my son with certain messy foods.
This would be great for kids...no food all over the table during dinner time!
less messes yippeeeeee :)
