Goosed Up Rhymes HD: Mother Goose gets a sense of humor with this clever app. It takes 8 classic tales like Humpty Dumpty and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and then turns them into interactive storybook pages filled with giggle inducers. Each page is filled with hidden animations that are tons of fun to touch and discover. You can also touch the words to hear them aloud - perfect for those learning to read! On top of all this fun - there are even 4 mini-games like fixing Humpty Dumpty. (Currently on sale for only $0.99 for the iPad)Thoughts from a 5 year old: He found the app to be funny but he really got into the games. His favorite was trying the Wacky Mice game. He would consistently return to it. He also got a little obsessive about finding those acorns and they can be pretty well hidden at times.
Thoughts from a 2 year old: It brings out the laughter from our youngest son. He picks this app on a regular basis and then can't contain himself from giggling on each and every page. I was truly shocked by how much he liked it and just how funny he found it. I would say it is one of his absolute favorite apps ever and we have over 500 to choose from at the moment.
Mom's Take: I even found this one to be filled with humor. It was a really fresh take on the classic tales and the images very well done. It's thought out and my children are both big fans. I'm pretty impressed with all that they managed to cram into the app - it's good for long stretches of entertainment.
Simply Stated: I'm excited to discover such a creative and interactive twist on classic tales. This app will earn a lasting place on your device and your kids will enjoy laughing to it again and again.
