Avoid supermarket disasters

I avoid shopping with my 3 year old at all costs. There is very little I can do to keep him near me and I spend the entire shopping trip saying "Hold on to the buggy", "STAY with me", "don't put that in the cart - we are not buying that", and the worst "WHERE are you?". Since he could walk the idea of sitting in a shopping cart or stroller is lost on him and he will whine & complain until you let him out. Thank goodness for preschool or I would never be able to run errands. The only way I have found to get him to sit in the shopping card is good old fashioned bribery. The bribe: snacks. I guess the way to a toddlers heart is through his stomach. The only problem with this method is the spills and the fact that he thinks he should be able to carry his snacks with him as he roams about. The OnTray solves this problem - instantly.

The OnTray snaps unto the bar of a shopping cart to make snacks easily accessible to your child. It comes with a slide off lid that makes the OnTray simple to store in your purse and to keep stocked with your little one's favorite snacks. When we run errands I explain to my son that in order to eat he must sit in the buggy by the OnTray. Snacks must stay in the OnTray and it CANNOT be removed. I'm not sure why but this works and it does an awesome job of keeping him distracted as I cross items off my shopping list. It also cuts down on the spill factor. While he might drop a goldfish or two - it is nothing like when he would dump an entire bag of crumbling snacks onto the store's floor.

Even if your child has outgrown the need for snack storage, the OnTray is still full of uses for you. It is so helpful for a place to store your coupons, shopping list, even your calculator. I have also used it to hold onto my cell phone when running errands. You can keep your need to get to shopping necessities neatly stored in this handy case and then pop it on the buggy as you shop. It will save you a lot of the usual purse digging and make it much easier to use your coupons. I can't tell you how many times I go shopping because of a great coupon and then forget to use it entirely. The OnTray is available in 4 colors and will only set you back $7! It's also dishwasher safe, microwave safe, and made using BPA free plastic. You can pick one up today by clicking here.

Want to WIN your own OnTray? To enter to win visit OnTray and comment back with the answer to two questions: 1) What is your biggest struggle when shopping w/ kids? 2) Which color OnTray would you want (you will get this one if you win). 1. I think the biggest challenge in shopping with kids is keeping them entertained so they are not quite so fussy.

2. My color choice is blue.

Thanks!

my biggest struggle when shopping with my 2 year old daughter is that she gets bored of sitting in a regular cart so then i end up carrying her AND pushing a heavy cart... or if it's a store with one of the "car carts" that she loves so much, she's twisting out of the seat belt and climbing out of the car part - while it's moving!! ARGH!!!

i love the true blue color!!

My biggest struggle when shopping with my son and husband is trying to look for all of the unadvertised deals and using all of my coupons before they both get tired and cranky.
I would like to win the green one. Thanks for the chance.

I would love to have a green one. My biggest struggle when shopping is trying to fit both my kids and all the stuff in the basket at the grocery store. I have a one year old and a three year old, and if I let either one of them out of the basket, all heck breaks loose.

Going green would be my color choice. THe biggest chalenge is trying to keep my 2 year old in the cart (she likes to try to get out) while keeping up with the four year old. With another baby due in May, it will get even more interesting.

I struggle to keep my son entertained while grocery shopping. I had to resort to shopping after dinner because he wanted to touch everything! This just may help! I love the blue one as my sons love blue!

My biggest struggle with shopping is that my 3 year old does not like to sit in the cart. He screams when I try to put him in. I put him in there anyway, but it's embarrassing having him screaming so loud. I would pick true blue if I won. Thanks for the giveaway!

The biggest challenge, besides getting him to sit in the cart or stay anywhere near the cart, would be preventing him from adding items to the cart - he's a huge fan of the produce aisle and notoriously throws the most damaged apples, etc. into our cart...

I would pick green as the challenging one right now is a boy but we are expecting a girl any day now...

Snacks work most of the time with my son too, but I rarely bring my whole (huge) diaper bag with me into the store, and so seldom have anything with me to give him. This is a brilliant little invention!

My favorite color, I think, is the yellow one.

I am trying to give my daughter cherrios..all the while dropping everything.. I love this.. the Pretty in Pink is awesome but I think it would clash too much with Target carts lol So I will probably opt for True Blue!!

1. By the time I have my lo in her car seat in the cart and my toddler in the seat by the handle the where do the groceries go.... I either need another person - a kid per cart or not having them both with me. Then once I figure out how to wrangle the kids and groceries keeping snacks in the cart was my second delima but this product would certainly solve that!
2. going green
