You might remember my recent review of the Musical Kaleidodisk and are now wondering why I have reran the review - the answer is very exciting! I have the pleasure of giving away one of these super cool toys!! To enter to win visit International Playthings and comment back with your favorite toy from Yookidoo. The deadline to enter is November 30th at midnight EST. Winners have 72 hours to claim their prize before a replacement winner is chosen (you wouldn't believe how often this happens - so be sure to give me an email you actually check!). You can double your winning chances by being a subscriber to Now What Baby. If you are already a subscriber just remind me in your comment.

I have always wondered why babies love to stare at fans. I kept thinking if they would come out with a mini fan toy for an infant than it would be a best seller. It boggles my mind that a baby is so fascinated by a ceiling fan. In a way the Musical Kaleidodisk($60) reminds me of the concept of a fan - in that it spins around and around. It is really difficult to find a toy that a 2 month old and younger will like. My son will become mesmerized by this toy. It will captivate his attention for as long as the spinning lasts.

One neat thing about the Musical Kaleidodisk is that it will grow with your child. It can be attached to your crib before they are old enough to sit up and then it has a fun base so that you can use it on the floor for play as well. The bright colors are fun and stimulating, as are all the little things around the base for baby to play with. It comes with 4 disks that you can change out and each one plays a different song. It also lights up for night time viewing and it is easy to turn on and off. Your baby could actually do it. Mine has never done it on purpose but he has started it up on accident many times.

My only complaint is that it turns off after about 5 - 10 minutes. Although this is great for your batteries - I keep having to start it up because my little guy likes it so much he cries whenever the show ends. All in all - I am beyond impressed with the Musical Kaleidodisk. Toys just keep getting cooler & cooler! This would make a great gift for baby this year and it would also give mom a little distraction tool. You can get yours at International Playthings!

Check out the video - Jackson is entranced. Plus - you really need to see this one in action!
