International Playthings!

International Playthings is always one of my favorite places to find toys for my family. The Mighty World play sets are a little boys dream come true! Connor has been playing with the Emergency Response play set for about 2 weeks now and surprisingly he is still entertained. The set comes with an ambulance, police car, police motorcycle, and 15 other fun accessories. I was really impressed with how detailed the cars and ambulance are on the inside. Connor sits on the floor for hours acting out crashes and sending in the rescue crew....interesting how the minds of little boys work. Thank goodness someone finally realized the need to update the Lite Brite. When I was younger the Lite Brite was one of my favorite toys but I hated how you punched out the black sheets and then you had to go buy more. International Playthings has a great toy called the Illumino. It kind of reminds me of a modern computer screen and it looks pretty cool sitting on my son's dresser. The design of this is so smart - it includes storage for the colored pegs, has a push through black screen that holds them in place, and is made to turn off after 15 minutes (saves batteries & makes a great night light!). Connor had a thing about filling in every hole instead of trying to make something from the pattern book but it amused him for long periods of time. He would fill up the holes and then start over again. Check out this video to see it in use:
