Cucuyo Designs

Moms have a lot to carry. We carry our children, diaper bags, toys, car seats, you name it - we probably have to tote it. Packing a diaper bag is a pain and it's really nice to find a high quality product that thought to make your travel a little easier. The Honu Travel Blanket from Cucuyo Designs is not only bright, snugly, and beautiful but it was designed to fit neatly into your bag. It has a sneaky little zippered pocket that is camouflaged into the blanket - when you are done using your blanket it can be stored neatly inside.

This handy little invention does a great job of saving space and keeping your diaper bag organized. It also ensures that you baby's blanket will remain clean and not mingle with the strange crumbs or leaking juice in the bottom of your bag. I just make sure to always leave my Honu Travel Blanket in my bag and then I am always prepared. The blanket is perfectly warm & soft with one side made of flannel and the other with curly fleece - it also comes in three different patterns. You can save 10% on your entire purchase at Cucuyo Designs when you enter the code NWB at checkout - this offer is only good until December 15th so don't delay!

You can win your own Honu Travel Blanket! To enter to win visit Cucuyo Designs and comment back with the answer to the following question - How does your family give back during the holidays? The deadline to enter is November 30th at midnight EST. All winners have 72 hours to claim their prize before a replacement winner is chosen. 12. I am a SAHM and my son started pre school in September and just this week, I have started helping at a food bank in a nearby neighbourhood. I also plan to do this indefinitely, unless I am blessed with having another child.

I also will spend part of my Christmas day helping out there. We all have slots we can do and I've chosen a 6am - 9am slot, so my family won't even miss me!!

  36. We do most of our charitable giving this time of year. We have several that we donate to, plus we pick one new cause each years to donate funds from the charitable fund that is in memory of my oldest son who died in 2003. The holidays can be hard time remembering those who we miss so much, giving in thier memory keeps hope and love alive.

You know, I wish that I could say that we did more, we always find a family to help with a few gifts (our church is always helpful in finding a family) we also donate a lot of canned idems to school. But I think that we do a lot of little things, like babysitting so a couple can go Christmas shopping together.

  70. My son and I serve dinner at the Homeless shelter on Thanksgiving. It's been a very humbling experience....for both of us. Last year, John was 7 and I think it was the first time he really understood what it's all about. He finally "got" what a homeless shelter was. It broke my heart to see families living there, and I know it hurt his heart as well.

  77. Just two days ago the bell ringers started.
Every year my daughters (6&2)are very excited about putting money in the bucket. Before we get out of the car I get some change from purse and give it to my daughters. As soon as we get to the bucket they are saying happy holidays and putting the money in. It doesn't matter how many stores we visit, if there is a bell ringer we put money in.

I also give a toy, for toys for tots.
My Mom has been sewing flannel blankets to donate for the cold season, and I have been helping with that too.

We are going to do that again this year (only she will get some gifts too- we won't deprive her every year, lol). And when she is older we will get her involved by choosing the charity we donate too.
